Journal, 22 May, 2002: Long day, but interesting and broken up by the stops. Nice lunch at the Mantar restaurant in Denizli, which specializes in mushrooms – mushroom meze, mushroom guvec (baked with chicken & cheese in pottery bowls), and mushroom dessert (set in sweet sauce with cinnamon & allspice flavorings). Got to hotel an hour earlier than the estimated arrival time of 7 pm.
