Cascoly Escorted Tours to India (last rev: 26 Dec 2007) These are sample itineraries Northern India, Assam & Sıkkım Itinerary: Trekking & Wildlife Sanctuaries Join us for 18 days hiking and visiting wildlife sanctuaries in India. We travel the hills and mountains of Northern India, Assam and Sikkim, rich in diversity and culture. Buddhism is integrated with the Hindu religion and we’ll visit museums, and temples. The wildlife sanctuary of Kaziranga in Assam is home to endangered tigers and rhinos. We’ll fly to Darjeeling for 7 days trekking in the Himalayan foothills with views from Everest to Kangchenjunga. Hiking is a moderate 6 – 10 miles a day with most luggage carried by porters. Additional walking at hill stations and temples. We’ll also have fully guided tours of the Taj Mahal, Delhi, Darjeeling and Gangtok (Sikkim).
Small groups give us flexibility larger groups are denied. Some differences are obvious – large buses can’t go to as many places. With small groups we can make quick additions and changes to fit the group, or to take advantage of opportunities for photo ops and other interactions with local people.
